Rotaract: "Growing Beyond Myself"

When I walked into what I thought was pure fun
A fun to meet or a race to run
Unlinked by deep ties, no weight, no past,
Just moments spent here that wouldn’t last.
Faces turned to friends as true,
And suddenly my world outgrew—
All those walls I'd built, the fear that I knew,
Were exchanged for hands that pulled me through.
I learned to speak, to lead, to stand,
To give, offer help, and lend a hand.
Through sleepless nights and many battles fought,
I found a voice that I never sought.
Rotaract stretched my heart and view,
And shaped me for the things I wanted to do.
No longer just a passing phase,
But growth-incountable, quiet ways.
And now, I stand where I began,
But not the same—I’ve found a plan.
Not just for fun, not just for show,
But a place that made me learn and grow.
