Silent Reveries: her pov
My love, how long have I
been waiting for you?
I strangle myself in the
whorl of my life.
Echoes pierce through my veil,
yet I wait in silence—
where your reveries pour
as the glow of fireflies
glides through the keyhole of the door.
When will you take me there,
to weave the essence of the life
we once dreamed?
I long to feel your warmth,
like petrichor rising from the dry earth.
Now I see: waiting is more dreadful than death,
as it escorts us into the abyss of nothing.
Silent Reveries; his pov
My beloved, what quiet joy
to stand beside you again.
Who told love turns ephemeral
when silence has conquered all?
I see you every second,
from the golden doors.
At times, stars and moon
aid me in glimpsing you.
Seeing you in agony
put me into the abyss of despair.
In your waiting,
sorrow blooms in the Eden.
Now I come here,
in silence, unnoticed by the angels.
Soon, I must cross beyond the sky.
Before dawn breaks, I crave to embrace
the memories we once relished.
