Under one roof apart

In this modern age , how much we’ve strayed ,

Culture and manners , in shadow lied .

Respect for elder, custom forgot ,

Under one roof , yet so far ,a tangled knot.

House and homes, the difference blurred,

Privacy’ s name , our true selves deterred .

Together yet distance , a paradox so deep .

Technology connects, but love ones we don't keep ,

Home - cooked meals , replaced by fancy fare.

Affections flaver , no longer there

Excuses abound for outside ‘ s delight,

Why not cook together, with all our might ?

Let’ s turn this house into loving home .

Not through screen , but where heart can roam .

Love is our bond , in every way ,

In each other company, let us stay.
