MUSE!

ree

After a lot of thoughts I finally stepped into the art gallery. Different paintings, sculptures, random photographs ,nothing made me feel like looking at them. Because I wanted to see something that is mine. Roaming around , greeting people and with a few quick steps I stopped at one.

It was a painting of a lady. The golden yellow dress flowing with her soft hair static in one place. Little white sandals matched with the pearl earrings she wore. And two sunflowers in her hand. And a bright smile on her face. That's it about the painting. It felt like someone was taking her photograph.

"What a simple drawing?" A woman pointed to the painting. "I mean someone just didn't put any effort into the painting, could have drawn her more beautiful or maybe something in the background instead of a white wall!"

She was right. It was the only painting in the gallery with a plain background. "Maybe the painter wanted to just focus on her and not the surrounding" I pointed out.

"He definitely didn't focus on her. It's dull and boring!" She huffed. I was about to say something but the words didn't come out and she continued, "A MUSE! Man and their audacity to draw a normal lady and call it muse. Even his pen name is muse. Only if I know how to draw, this painting would have been something else" she said with a proud face.

And me just standing there looking at her, wanted to say that "hey you are the one who painted this! It's you in the painting. And it's simple because you never liked anything extravagant or loud. You know how to draw, you know how to paint but you just can't remember. You always wanted one of your paintings to be in art galleries. And now here it is, you are totally complaining about it. You forgot me. I'm fine with it, but how can you forget yourself?"

My juggling thoughts brought me back to reality when she called me. "What do you think about this painting?"

"She's the most beautiful lady I've ever seen. Her golden yellow dress flutters through the wind and her hair wants a dance with her. I can hear her sandals as she might have danced a little. She's simple yet elegance can be seen in her eyes. Oh if you notice, her eyes are as big as her pearl earring. And the two sunflowers- they complete her. I almost felt like I just saw her yesterday or a day before and clicked this photo for her. Yeah that's it" I sighed looking at her.

She nodded her head and waved goodbye. Walking away she turned around, "Would you like to have a coffee with me?"

My heart just bursted out of happiness. Of course I would. I still love her confidence and the way she talks and criticises herself.

Of course I would go with her to tell her more about her!

Of course I would go with her just in case she needs to paint herself again.

Because she's my muse I am just a fool photographer unknowingly completing her dreams!
