Seasons Of Life

Winter freezes life,
Summer scorches it,
Monsoon drowns it whole.
We linger somewhere in between,
In the ephemeral autumns and springs.
No, we don’t lose it,
But strive through thick and thin.
Almost scorched, yet merely dry,
Nearly frozen, yet we sprout again,
Drowning in sorrow, somewhere in between.
Autumn needs monsoon to quench its thirst,
Winter needs summer to bring forth spring.
These are the seasons of life.
And you – you are the seasons of your life.
You need all of you to bring out you, to become you, to be you.
Cherisa
A barely bloomed flower, trying to cast its redolence to the sky before it can wither.
