The Uncharted Skies

In the depths of existence,
A fragile thread weaves the time
A delicate dance of moments,
Ephemeral whispers, echoes of the mind
Lost and found somehow
We grasp and cling to what we know;
Being fearful of the unknown,
The unseen stages to come
Yet, in the stillness of the passing hours
Lies the beauty of expansion,
Of growth and turns,
Change of life, is it?
Oh, how sweet the ache of "becoming"
Like rivers unbroken
And through valleys, I'm running
To nowhere I know about;
For growth is a journey, a bold, sacred art.
In the dance of seasons, in the rain,
I believe there is light too
That we all need to find
Letting go of the chains of heart that hold you tight;
The emptiness that eats inside
Try to embrace each shift as an invitation
Moving toward, you see
So let us expand together
With open hearts, swaying like trees
And grow more and more, along with the memories.

Meet the Author:
Hello everybody! I'm Oishee Mondal, from Kolkata, West Bengal, India. I'm currently a student and I've been writing a lot since past few years, through my dark and merry days. I like to be creative as much as possible with a subtle touch of simplicity. For me, simplicity through everything defines a unique style that is pleasing and on top of all, I'm an aesthete. I find beauty in many things, adore and admire them through the perspective of my brain. Lastly, I put my nickname "Bonnie" as a pseudonym in all of my poems, etc because it's my favourite since childhood and it was given by my late grandfather.
